From debut album. Great great great album. Jack and Meg just sound so raw in it... this is one of the best songs off the album. It's sorta funny to see how even Jack White sung in that kind of overexagerated style of the 90's in the 90's. Haha.

I'm not one of these girls, am I? I mean, I think of the being all "go team go!" and that's fun, I always cheer like crazy at games (kill me, I have school spirit haha), and gymnastics and dance routines and throwing people up in the air? I'm not good at gymnastics but it's always kind of appealed to me, it looks fun, I love to dance and to make dance routines (I have a little bit of middle school clicheness in me, too, okay? haha), and throwing people up in the air?! Count me in!! But then comes the.. well.. typical portrayal of the cheerleader and that goes against most of what I stand for. So I don't know what to do. I'll probably join. Excersize can't kill you, it's only once, and why not?

Oh man, I wonder what the uniforms will be like... knowing our schools extreme policies on modesty.. we'll probably be sweating it out in floor length skirts and sweatshirts!! ICKY! Hahaha.

I looked like a storybook! I love it! Vintage fabric is always so cute! (it was my mom's when she was 12, her mom/my nana made it for her). Seriously, tell me, how cute is this dress?!

I had a good day yesterday. But the dance was TERRIBLE! No one danced. I paid 6 bucks to hang out with my friends, whoop de do. I cannot WAIT until I am old enough to have fake ID.

Oh god. Oh godgodgod. Today me and some friends were hanging out oustide this place we go after school and there was some sugar in packets. Then this kid started messing it around making it look like... well you know. Then another kid started pretending to sniff it, like, joking though, you know? It was pretty stupid of him though. Then I was laughing and like was making the lines all neater because I'm kind of OCD like that, then this other kid's mom came and got SO mad at all of us. I can see why. I don't know why me and my friends did that. We were stupid, we thought it made us look cool, when really it just made us look scary and weird and poser-ish (it was mad funny when the woman near us gave us a look and got up and left, though). But that's just what teenagers do. I'm really worried that my friend's mom will tell my mom, or worse, the school. I don't think she would do that though because why would she want to get her own son in trouble? I didn't actually do drugs and I hopefully never will but I feel just as bad and guilty if I did. I'll still joke around about it with my friends, like, joking, but I'll never do anything physical like that again. I feel stupid and immature and worried but I'm mad that my friend's mom doesn't understand that this is just what teenagers do-- have bad judgement. I know it reflected badly on my school and honestly I don't care because I hate my school but I'm just worried that someone will tell someone and it'll get back to the school. With our head of school, we'll each be suspended for a week, or worse, not be able to go on the ski trip. God I just feel so bad and am really worried and I just want to apologize to everyone who even saw us while walking by and I know I sound like an immature goody-goody but I feel so bad. I already get in trouble a lot I don't want to be known as the girl with the bad rep or whatever. But look at the culture we live in! In all these TV shows (skins!!) music, pop culture, etc, drug use is glorified in this sick kind of "don't do it but you should do it cuz  you shoulnd't" way. People have to understand that. It sucks, but they have to understand.

I feel really really bad, I'm so sorry, and I'm really hoping I don't get in trouble.

Sorry for using this blog as my diary. I shouldn't.

It didn't sell very well. There was like 10,000 on sale and they actually had it in my size (gasp). I LOVELOVELOVE it it is SO cute. It's really shiny, I like shiny. So I will be dancing the night away (not, our dances suck) in this little number.

I had this gift card from Laila Rowe for 55$ (!!) so I went in there on the way and picked up these really cute things! Usually that store has cheap hippie looking things, but these were naiiiiceee.

These remind me of, like, a little victorian school boy's shoes, especially with the rounded toe. They hurt my feet a little but are sooo sweet! 25 bucks.

Me so prettyy!! This is a little miso pretty gift set thing that I got for 9 dollars. The hair chopsticks.. ehh I don't know, don't want to end up looking like Hillary Duff at the Kids Choice Awards, do we? Then there's blotting papers (which I need, sadly), this sake bath soak which smells really nice, and this OHMYGOD aMaZiNg body spray stuff that smells THE BEST EVER.

This is sorta like the Burberry belt except white. It's really nice on, I wish they had it in black but they didn't, only white and red. Oh well, white stands out better, anyway. It's really thick and wide so that's good for this season. Only 15 dollars!

It's nice, I know, but that's actually how they described it in British Elle. "90's minimalism". Ew ew ew!

Flaunt Magazine just did an issue dedicated to the 90's. It's a good issue and a good view of the decade, calling it the supposed "anti-fashion" decade, which I suppose could be true, seeing as most 90's fashion was influenced by music. And it made me see that, hey, the 90's weren't so bad, maybe they were even kind of cool! And also, maybe sometime in the next decade I'll be decked out in full-frontal 90's gear! I am kind of a sucker for decade revival, anyway ;]

But the only trend from the 90's that I've been seeing on the S/S '08 catwalks is the kind of crop top. It's not all super sexy and revealing like the Britney-before-she-went-crazy kind of top, it's kind of short and liberating and sexy in an almost modest way. I stole one of my brother's tops and cut it a little bit.

This weekend I went shopping and picked up these things:

Both are from this random little street store on St. Marks' Place. The first I wear more often, as they're less weird, but when I'm wearing just like t-shirt jeans and fedora, I put on the other pair for some added craziness.

This is a bad picture... I got the alphabet dress from H+M! It was on sale for 15 dollars so I figured why not. Even though I have no idea where I'll wear it... It's to formal for the dance (friday!) because of the material. I think I'm gonna turn to my trusty old friend, American Apparel... haha

OH MY GOD. Again, a really bad pic but this is this kind of wool ish biker jacket that is SO SO SO gorgeous I ADORE it and when paired with my fedora and wayfarers it has the BEST EVER EFFECT... like when I was walking home from school wearing that jacket and my fedora some guy who looked like a young Bob Dylan who was wearing this keffiyah-ish thing looked at me like... well you know!! Ahhh <33 haha It's gorgey and from H+M.

I love kitschy, plasticy jewelry. From top left clockwise-- key earrings, Temptations (random store near my house), 3 bracelets, Marc Jacobs, squiggly earrings and black earrings, vintage, star charm bracelet, free at the dentists office (no kidding!! =P), blue heart necklace, Miss Selfridge's.

Aaand some lovely vintage stuff that I got a while ago but haven't got around to putting up pics of:

I thought this was good for fall's collegiate trend, although it is really really red. It's kind of old-lady and oversized-ish, but I can rock that ;) The buttons and the emblems are so cool! And it was 4 bucks! haha.

Terrible picture. This is a pink suede pencil skirt, AH!! For 2 BUCKS!! It has these little dots on it so it kind of looks like ostrich skin. It fits me perfectly and is tight enough to be a little sexy but it's sort of long so it's a nice sort of compromise.

This red jacket I got for 4 dollars also and I haven't worn it yet but I should! I just need something to pair it with to tone down the redness a little bit. It's really nice but has shoulder pads and I already have broad shoulders so that's kind of a downside. Oh well, it was only four bucks! ;)

My vintage bag collection. The black one and the white one are the ones I recently got. Both were 2 dollars. Then there's the brown one that I use not so much, and then blue and red convertable clutches that I use ALL THE TIME! They are like my favorite bag and were each 1 pound in a charity shop in England! The other three were from a thrift store out near my country house.

And that is all. I dont know what to wear to the DANCE!!

I own a black patent across the shoulder bag with a buckle on the thin strap like this. I wear it like every day. The boots are cool, and I NEED a plaid/flannel dress. I'm going shopping today... maybe an option?

This could be an option but I don't know.. It's not really a dress but it's really cute and could be worn open as a sweater, too, right? And would be super for layering.

I'm going down to 34th street where there's like a million highstreet stores that I l-o-v-e... H+M, Zara, Old Navy, Gap, Payless, Forever 21, etc... I shall go to all!! I have 100$ in my pocket from a bit of bat-mitzvah money, so YAYAAYA!!!

Flat boots... I need some flat boots.. I have like 3 pairs of high-heeled boots but only one pair of flat ones and they're suede and all messed up and slouched over and I needneedneed a new pair!

Everyone is wearing those slouchy boots now, so I want some riding boots. They're classic so I'll be able to wear them whenever. And these ones are really tall so that's nice.

God, lucky for all those stylish girls who horseback ride. Their jodphurs, hats, boots, jackets, etc... all are in this season, thanks to Balenciaga and a few others!

I don't really want a sweater like the girl has in the photo, though. She rocks it, but I would just look kind of silly.

Beret? Check, I have two. One is a grey slouchy jersey one with black beading and a black elastic band from (icky) Urban Outfitters and then I have a classic purple felt one from Kangol.

And black tights? I have more than enough of those ;)

OH my god I LOVE this girl!! Her coat is to die for! Toggle coats are sososo cute, I wonder where I could find one? I like the tights and her simple outfit, too. And her hair looks so nice! Sometimes I ask myself, do these facehunter people really even exist???

This must be vintage. I'm not sure if I like it, it just stands out to me for some reason. It kind of looked like what Feist wore in her video for 1234. I loved that! No way it was made now, it had to be vintage. That video is my fave, I have it on my newww nano!

All the backup dancers (and there were a lot, let me tell you) looked great too. Whoever styled this video, I bow down to you.

TOPSHOP. This is from TOPSHOP. And she gets on facehunter?!?! Huh. I guess you just have to be pretty and skinny...

*gasps* SO my future boyfriend when I move to London for college. Well, at least a guy with style like him. And he's cute. I love! I wonder how he dressed when he was my age?

HA-HA. In the same post, too! Are these the Prada stockings from f/w 07? They're cute. I did kinda a DIY with some old navy cable knit tights, I just cut off the crotch part and was left with lovely long slouchy socks that look like Prada and I can even wear to school! Now whenever I grow out of any tights , I shall use them for that purpose.
