While I am at it, I will be starting my third year of university in 2 weeks. This is the most important year of my life and I do not want to screw it up. I want to get a good degree and get a good job, so do not be surprised if I fail to update Blue Trident if something big happens. I will try my best to continue updating, but remember that my degree comes first.

We have another three book releases to look forward to! The first is the UK edition of The Demigod Files:



Looks good doesn't it? The release date is set for 7th January 2010 and is already available for pre-order on Amazon UK for £4.49. One thing about this has made me laugh though: the sticker says that the series is "now a major film", yet the book comes out one month before the film!

We can also look forward to The Percy Jackson Field Guide, which is being released on the 19th January 2010 in both the US and the UK (probably to add hype to the movie). You can pre-order it on Amazon for $10.39 (US) / £7.07 (UK).

They are also re-printing The Lightning Thief as a movie tie-in in paperback (presumably with a new cover design related to the movie) and is listed for release on 5th January 2010 in the US, and the 7th January 2010 in the UK. You can  pre-order it for $7.99 (US) / £6.29 (UK).

I found this on Logan Lerman's Twitter (like I said before I'm still not sure it's him, so I'm still being cautious). It seems genuine and looks very pretty doesn't it?

Blue Trident has two more affiliates: Demigod Waves and The Big Three! Check them out and I'll be adding them to the affiliates list next week because today is the day I go to my friend's birthday party, but my train doesn't leave until 3.35pm (as I write this it's 11.30am BST) so I still have 4 hours. So I'm afraid there will be no more updates until then.

Best known for his role as Roman legionary Lucius Vorenus in HBO's Rome, he's now playing the Greek god Poseidon in Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. The movie, adapted for a popular young adult novel of the same title, imagines the ancient Greek gods in the modern world, with the story focusing on young Percy, who finds out that his father is quite literally divine.

It's good to be a god, McKidd explains:

I'm 40 feet tall for most of the film, but then we come to human form, We can atomize ourselves because we're gods. We can do what we want, right? So we can atomize ourselves and walk around the streets of Manhattan, wandering Manhattan, and dress in Gap clothing and do all that stuff, then atomize ourselves back to 40-foot Greek god stage. It's a really fun film.

His own son, he says, is particularly impressed with his new job, and has begun devouring the whole Percy Jackson series, looking for spots where he might see his dad on screen. Assuming that Lightning Thief proves successful at the box office, McKidd could reprise his role in at least three more Percy Jackson movies."

So, there's a possibility that they may make the other four books into films depending on how well The Lightning Thief movie does at the box office.

Don't go bidding on it just yet - the seller wants $129.99 for it which is outside even my price range! It says it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, but I wouldn't trust it anyway just in case it's a con.
