So Anyways, I know I've definitely been neglecting my site, but its just so disappointing to write the same thing every day! haha. I originally thought Chester would totally be potty trained in the two months, no sweat. Well... I was WRONG!! haha.

Anyways, This are progressing, but pretty slowly. Chester and I had gotten to the point where he was doing 100% #1's in the bowl, (with out the LK) but struggling with his #2's. (He'd only do them in the toilet if I was there keeping an eye on him.)

So about a week ago, Chester fell in.. AUGH! Poor little guy. I don't actually know how much it traumatized him, but I did go and buy a new toilet seat. It's one of those wooden ones, but the actual seat is flat, so I had hoped that would help a little with his balance. Anyways... he HATES it. I had to put the green tray of the LK back in again, and he's finally ok with doing #1's in it. #2's are still a constant struggle, and if I'm not there I find a pretty present on the floor. (The bathtub is filled with water, I've got packing tape everywhere over the floor, and I also started putting out cookie sheets with water in them too... He just seems to find any tiny area I missed to go in!)

But... things ARE progressing! Very slowly, but I still figure there is an end in sight! Not to mention, even with the 50% accidents on the floor, its still better then scooping a litter box, and having the #1's always in the toilet is just fabulous... So, if I still have any readers left, DON'T give up!!!

I'll try and keep this a little more up to date!!

Cheers and wish us luck!

Chester is doing pretty darn good on the green stage. Of course, half my bathroom floor is covered in duct tape, (sticky side up), and he'll only go in the toilet if I'm there watching, but... he has been doing it!. (#2 that is... #1's have been perfect so far). I figure its almost about time to buy an actual flatter grippier toilet seat, so I can lower that down before getting rid of the green stage. I'm definitely going to leave him here for 2-3 weeks first though, just to hopefully concrete his memory.

Its been a long time getting to here, but its awesome to just be able to flush. Plus I giggle every time I hear a little tinkle of #1 in the toilet. tee hee.

I know, I'm terrible at neglecting my blog!

This week I put chester on the green disk. He really doesn't like to do his #2's in the toilet, so I actually covered about 35% of the bathroom floor in sticky side up packing tape. (Try and explain that, as well as the LK in the toilet to guests). Last night Chester did a very nice #2 in exactly the right spot, and I was extremely happy, (apart from the fact that it was at midnight).

#1's have been going great. It always makes me giggle a little when I hear a tinkle from the bathroom, but I try and leave him to his business.

Veronica and Figaro start on their orange disk this week!!! I'm wishing them the best of luck!!

Well, I've been back for over a week now, and I'm not sure why I've been neglecting my blog, but I just have been too lazy.!

I took Chester a step back on the potty training, we're on the orange disk right now. I feel that I totally rushed him into the green the last time, (you know, just in case he got the hang of the toilet before I left). He's been doing fairly well on it. Sometimes the #2's manage to find the floor, but I think its mainly because he does a few #1's when I'm asleep, and doesn't like to do a #2 when it's dirty. Perhaps I'll have to schedule a 4am wakeup to clean out the tray. We'll see.

Anyways, my vacation was fabulous, I returned to find Chester had gained at least 5 pounds! Eep! The poor thing is on a diet and pretty much starved for affection. I think he's beginning to get sick of me though, since I REALLY missed him when I was away.

Well, I woke up this morning to find an impeccably clean Amber disk, and a nice #2 in the TOILET!!!! How awesome it is just to flush. I was so excited I decided to take the green tray out, and see how big the difference was between the two of them. Then I realized, I'd been sent the intermediate green tray!!! Augh!!! I figured since the difference was so teeny I'd try it out on Chester right away. (I leave Sunday on vacation, so even if I go to fast and he regresses, he'll likely regress with the litter box back anyways).

I'm not sure what to do next if Chester is using the intergreen consistently. Do I take a flying leap, and just remove it completely? Should I put the seat down on top of the LK? Perhaps... I should stop worrying about it, and just hope all #1's and 2's go in the right places! ha ha!

(I'm not sure if its exactly day 69, but what the heck!)

Last night I was woken up from a deep sound sleep by a ridiculous ruckus from the bathroom. I couldn't imagine what the heck could be going on, but I did hear litter falling EVERYWHERE so I knew I had to get up.

When I walked into the bathroom there was litter everywhere, (even quite a bit made it into the hallway) however, no sign of the cat, or the amber tray... hmmm.. mysterious. I followed some more strange noises to my nook, and heres what I found

I laughed, of course, which makes me feel like a vaguely terrible person, but... it was pretty amusing. I guess the hole had finally gotten to the size where Chester could squeeze his head through... but getting out was a whole difficult matter!!

I cleaned everything up, cut the hole a little bit bigger, and then poured a healthy dollop of vinegar into the toilet bowl, (hopefully to prevent any further mishaps). Looks like the hole wasn't too too big since he took a lovely, (and stinky) #2 in there this afternoon. (right down the middle, and it was awesome just to FLUSH!!!!!)

In other news, my furminator FINALLY arrived. I had no idea when to stop brushing, (since soooo much hair was coming out) but Chester finally got bored and started biting me instead of purring, so I figured enough was enough, and put it away. Heres some pictures of him playing (actually trying to eat) his furminated ball of hair

So, its been forever since I've written, but there really isn't much news on the potty training front. I know a lot of other people write all sorts of exciting cat stories, but, I don't really have all that many.

The plastic bit that I had used to cover the hole on the Amber is now more then halfway cut down. I've gotten to the point where I cut off about a centimeter every day. Chester hasn't had an accident for almost two weeks now (knock on wood), and I am very proud of him.

I leave for vacation in two weeks, so I'm a little worried about stalling his training process, but I've got great dreams that my sitter will report he's gone in her toilet instead of the litter box, ( ha ha hey?)

I was dog sitting on Sunday, and Chester's never really had any company other then human, so it was interesting to see how he interacted, which wasn't extremely well.!! He puffed up into this massive ball of fur and made the loudest angriest noise I've ever heard before. I'm ashamed to say I laughed a little. I was super proud that he stood his ground and let the dogs know who was boss. He didn't even run to hide under the bed!
