As they get shorter, slowly melting into the darkness

Forgoing their life, until the break of day

Where once again those dark silhouettes

Will emerge from their slumber,

To dance and pass the day away

Head down, a heavy coat around his shoulders,
he heads south,

They whisper to each other
Words of encouragement
To signify her life
With one quiet jump
And into the darkness she falls
Icy daggers
Surrendering her body

For the life lost
