Better late than never RIGHT? Three part update!

Where did the time go? Seriously! WHERE?! This is going to be a three part update but let me start by saying Autumn has been in this world for 11 days now. That is how late I am at updating! Geesh.

I'll start with the cerclage removal. That happened on October 20th @ 36 weeks. I had to be at the hospital at 5:45 in the morning. My doctor didn't show up until almost 6:30. I was beginning to think she forgot about me! Let me just say I don't remember the cerclage removal hurting so MUCH! Egads! The whole procedure took all of maybe 10 min but holy cow it seemed like an eternity!

After the removal, doc checked me and I was 1cm dilated. I stayed to be monitored for about 20 min and then they let me go. I saw the doc the next day.. pointless appointment since I had just seen her the day before.

Due to pain meds I'm on I need to go to bed.. I will explain when I get to the 3rd part of this update.. hopefully tomorrow!

Here's my 35ish week update!

I say 35ish week because it depends on who you talk to as far as my due date is concerned. I'm due somewhere between November 12th and 15th.

Anywho, I had my Growth Scan today. It followed my regular OB appointment yesterday. Normally I wouldn't update about a regular OB appointment unless there is significant news, which there really isn't, EXCEPT my cerclage removal has been scheduled for the 20th at 5 freaking 45 in the morning! They will then monitor me for awhile. I will either go into labor and have this baby or I won't.

To tie my OB appointment into my Growth Scan today I will say that once again, my doctor felt Gracie was 'small'. Once again, she sent me to my growth scan stressed out. I so love that doctor!

So before my growth scan I had to have an NST. They now have me going 2x a week for NSTs and once a week I will have a fluid check. That means I get to see my baby girl EVERY WEEK! Yay! Anyway my NST went perfect.. again.

We had to wait awhile after my NST for my Growth Scan. Leaving me waiting like that makes me more anxious. It was finally time and I got the tech I was hoping for, Yay me! She measured Gracies belly first. Hmmm belly measures 37 weeks. THAT's not small! Her Legs, arms and head all measured on target. So she's just a buddah like her dad! The good news is... They guestimate her to weight approx 6lbs3oz! There's nothing small about this baby! Oh she was also head down. We couldn't get any good pictures of her because 1) she's too big & 2) her head is sooo low and facing my back that it just wasn't possible. That's ok. I will get to see the REAL Gracie soon!

After my growth scan I met with the specialist. He graduated me from anymore visits with him UNLESS my OB has concerns. When DOESN'T she have concerns?! Oh one last thing.. The doc doesn't think I will make it past 39 weeks! Only 4ish weeks to go! =)

More later... maybe.

Oh My Gosh! Another UPDATE!

Good News! I've graduated! I no longer need any cervical scans! Stitches are holding strong and cervix isn't budging. I go back for another growth scan in 4 weeks.. I will be 35 weeks.

Speaking of growth scans. I had my scan today (I have them every 4 weeks). I asked the tech to take her time as my scan 4 weeks before showed Gracie to be a week behind and my OB said, on Monday, that she felt baby is petite.

Well baby is head down.. low, very low. As usual she was super active but we got all the measurements we needed. She is measuring between 31 and 32 weeks and weighs approximately 3lbs 13oz. I wouldn't say she's 'petite'.. I say she's perfect!

After my scan I met with the Dr. She said everything looks great and that is when I officially graduated from having my cervical scans. They also took my blood pressure which happened to be fine. We also discussed the NSTs. She agree'd we needed to start them but she didn't agree with doing them twice a week at this point. WHEW! I'm down to 2 appointments a week from 3 or 4.

I had my first NST today which I (actually Gracie) passed with flying colors.

Oh, one last thing. In a week or two I will more than likely have to start taking insulin. Lucky me!

More soon. I hope!
